Nora MacKenzie is a 16 year-old girl, and an Awakened Shaman. Nora comes from humble beginnings, growing up in the rural countryside of Kaldrum Isle, but has dreamed of becoming a Legionnaire of the Valiant Empire since she was a child. Nora is currently enrolled in the Continental Academy, under the Black Sheep house.

History
- Born the first child to a pair of farmers in the countryside of Kaldrum Isle, neither of which were Awakened.
- However, her grandfather is a retired Legionnaire and she was raised on his stories.
- Inspired by his tales of heroism, young Nora decides that she will one day join the Legion as well.
- Trains from a young age with her grandfather when not helping her parents with farm work.
- Parents support her dreams and save up as much money as they can to send her off to take the entrance exam for the Continental Academy.
- Her grandfather passes his sword on to her before she leaves.
- Nora just manages to pass the exam, and is placed into the Black Sheep house.
Abilities and Equipment
As a Shaman, Nora is able to manipulate her own Spiritual Energy, as well as potentially the spirits of others. She is also able to perceive and interact with spirits themselves. Nora's spiritual power is quite impressive, and she has spent most of her life honing her abilities.
Physical Enhancement - Nora is capable of flowing her spiritual power through her physical body, using the powerful energy of her spirit to empower herself. This allows Nora to demonstrate superhuman physical attributes, such as strength, speed, and durability. Nora is also able to do this with objects, infusing her energy into them and making them far stronger.
Spiritual Perception - Nora is able to sense the spirits of others at a fundamental level in the immediate area around her, allowing her to know where people or other beings are without being able to sense them with traditional means. This also gives her incredible reflexes, as this 6th sense if you will is able to perceive threats far faster than Nora's natural senses can.

Rory the Red Fox
A Guardian Ghost is the spiritual ally or partner that many Shaman have that is able to aid them in various ways. Nora's Ghost is a red fox that she's named Rory, which she befriended as a small child. Nora found Rory trying to eat her families' chickens, seemingly not realizing that he was in fact a ghost. Rory was confused as to why he was unable to properly interact with anything, and was delighted to find someone that actually realized he was there in Nora. This was also the first time that Nora realized that she was Awakened, and she and Rory quickly bonded, and have been inseparable ever since.
Though most spirits require a physical object to bond themselves to take on a physical form, Nora has developed a technique that both circumvents this and also greatly increases Rory's power. Nora is able to emit amounts of her own powerful spiritual energy which Rory is then able to merge with to take on a form capable of interacting with the physical realm. Although Rory himself is fairly weak as a spirit, fusing with Nora's own energy empowers him greatly, allowing him to contend with far more powerful foes than he himself. This also grants Rory the ability to temporarily transform himself, allowing him to appear as a clone of Nora for a short while.

The SWCNTIHNYNY is a powerful weapon that has been passed down to Nora from her grandfather, who was honored with the sword as a reward after saving the life of his commander in battle. This sword was crafted by Dudewhoihaveyettoname, a legendary long-dead blacksmith known for his ability to infuse his creations with his own potent spiritual power. This makes the SWCNTIHNYNY incredibly durable, seemingly unable to be scratched or even dulled, as well as making it a perfect conductor of spiritual energy, an ideal weapon for a Shaman like Nora. When infused with the spiritual energy of the user, the SWCNTIHNYNY is able to cut and pierce with far more potency than a regular weapon, and is even able to release waves of powerful spiritual energy through the air as projectiles.
Additionally, the SWCNTIHNYNY sometimes seems to demonstrate a will of its own, such as levitating out of its sheath to defend its owner without having to be wielded at all, or flying out of the hands of someone trying to steal it and returning to Nora. However, if the blade is infused with her spiritual energy Nora is able to control the blade at will, even if she is not touching it, letting Nora essentially wield the blade telekinetically if she so chooses.
