Maxine Kane is an awakened sage from the summer isle nation of Furleese, currently enrolled in House Red Dragon of the Continental Academy within Class Reigns.
Personality[]
Maxine is a reserved girl, she likes to keep to herself most of the time. Despite all she's been though she is actually quite pure of heart but there is a ruthless element to her that makes her a fearsome foe in the battle field.
History and Backstory[]
Maxine comes from a family of weapon masters, the art of creating and forging weaponry to be used in war is the pride of the Kane family. Since the ascendancy of the Valiant Empire they have had close ties to its rulers; their founders having created some of the most famous weapons known to man including, The Corpse Mask and Lucifer, the family sword of the Zens of Tsulowe.
Tragedy struck Maxine's life when a year before her entrance exam, the Desperado group known as Void stole a prized item from her father, killing her twin brother Maxwell in the process. Since that eventful day, Maxine has sworn revenge against Void and it is her driving force to becoming a Legionnaire.
Powers and Abilities[]
Physical Prowess[]
She's not especially remarkable when it comes to any physical traits, she is on the lower end of the enhanced spectrum only displaying noticeable durability and endurance feats that appear superhuman.
Aura Manipulation[]
Maxine is an incredible channeler of her aura, among all the candidates she displays a high proficiency with aura streaming. Max has also demonstrated the ability to transmutate and shape her aura, giving it properties akin to razor sharp blades capable of cutting away at things. She can also give her aura properties of healing.
Aura Threading[]
This is Maxine's ability create threads of her aura from the tips of her fingers, she can seemingly attach these to any surface and manipulate an object's or person's movement like a puppeteer. By transmutating her aura she can also use her strings to cut and slice through objects. Another ability Maxine has demonstrated with her Aura threading is the ability to stitch wounds then use her aura healing to fully heal things like deep cuts and nasty gashes.
Equipment[]
- Summoning Scroll: Maxine carries around with her a summoning scroll that has a connection to her private arsenal of weapons.
- Smoke Bombs: Thick bombs that when dispersed generate a lead-laced cloud difficult to see through with even enhanced eye-sight.
- Letter Bombs: Paper bombs that explode when the seal is released.
Mad Max[]
Using taxidermy and general engineering, Maxine was able to preserve the body of her brother and turn it into a puppet used for combat which she can control using her aura threading. Mad Max, as she calls it, is a high level piece of engineering and a tangible embodiment of Maxine's hate and disgust at the world. She does not need to show anger or fury as her dead brother Max is her fury, hence the name. She is able to summon it to her side using scrolls. The puppet is rigged with various gimmicks and weapons that Maxine can flawlessly co-ordinate with her threading.
- Mustard Gas Tank: Mad Max keeps a tank of Sulfur Mustard aka Mustard Gas in his abdomen which he can then release from his mouth. The gas reacts quickly with water in the airways to form hydrochloric acid, swelling and blocking lung tissue, and slowly causing suffocation.
- Shadowglass Arsenal: Shadowglass is one of the many creations of the Kane family, it is an enchanted glass that does not cause rip in armor or cuts to the skin; all damage is strictly internalized. Mad Max has been shown to spring shadowglass constructs from different parts of it's body to varying degrees making it dangerous to engage in close combat with.
- Highly Durable: The composition and build of Mad Max make it difficult to destroy, it has a knack for taking on explosive and cutting attacks.
